This past Sunday, July 15th, a Master Swimmers competition was held at the lodge. Here one of the heats was getting ready to start. The races were a lot of fun and then we had a barbecue up at the lodge afterwards.
As always, the wildlife was present in various ways. In this case, a curious butterfly took a liking to my GHL tee shirt while I was watching the swimmers.
That same butterfly alighted on several other people as well
Then on Tuesday, the 18th I encountered this doe down on Trapper Trail on my tractor as I was returning from a rock removal expedition. She stood without moving a muscle as I approached to get within 50 ft of her.
